First Look: A Second Glance 2026

The jurying process for First Look brings with it the difficult task of narrowing a large amount of compelling submissions to an exhibition featuring just five artists. In doing so, we inevitably encounter work that resonates deeply with us but cannot be included in the final exhibition.

First Look: A Second Glance grew out of that tension and has since become an integral part of our exhibition program at The Wall Gallery. This online and in-person presentation allows us to share more of the work we connected with, while creating an accessible entry point for collectors through small-scale, unframed prints.

Presented at The Wall at Panopticon Gallery, Second Glance features a selection of photographic works offered at approachable price points, making it an ideal opportunity to begin or expand an art collection. Prints remain on view on The Wall for the duration of the exhibition, after which they are archived in our gallery drawers for the remainder of the year— available for future viewing and purchase during gallery visits.

Through First Look: A Second Glance, we celebrate the breadth of submissions we receive and continue the conversation beyond the main exhibition. We are grateful to all of the artists who shared their work with us and are honored to present these selections.
